A proposed ethanol plant for the former Barrie Molson plant has been put on hold for at least a year because of concerns from people, and developers nearby. Those concerns deal with noise, smell and possible health problems. Now, residents in Collingwood are raising similar concerns about a plant that has already been in operation in that community.
