Headlines for November 5th, 2009
Let It Snow!

Wet flurries were the order of the day today across our region.  Snowplows were out in the Singhampton area, while large hail was reported in Wasaga Beach. Tonight Horseshoe Resort says it will open for skiing November 27th.

Royal Visit

Prince Charles and Camilla were touring Hamilton today, and will be at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto tomorrow.  A young equestrienne from Innisfil will be taking part in the Royal ceremonies at the Winter Fair tomorrow with her pony, which will be pulling the Royal Landau.

Barrie/Innisfil Boundary Hearings

Innisfil is set to hand over some of its land to Barrie in January. Today, the County of Simcoe is holding hearings about the annexation. The township is hoping to negociate some financial compensation for the loss of 2300 acres.

Owen Sound Cold Case

Police offer a $50,000 reward for information in the disappearance of a woman in 1988.  Lisa Maas was last seen leaving a house in July of that year.  Her vehicle was found abandoned two days later.
