Jobless Numbers Up

It’s not what economists were expecting as Canada’s unemployment rate climbed last month.   Amid some signs the recession is over, sobering new numbers showed that 43,000 jobs were lost.

H1N1 Vaccine Clinics Close

The first week of clinics for the H1N1 flu vaccine has wrapped up – and while there are predictions of a shortage for next week in many parts of the country, local health units say clinics will be open every day except Wednesday.

Pan Am Games Announcement

Toronto has been named the host city for the 2015 Pan Am games. There are many local local venues, like Hardwood Ski & Bike in Oro-Medonte, which will host mountain biking, while Barrie is hoping to host BMX biking.
