H1N1 Vaccinations Continue

The lineups have dwindled, but high priority people are still heading out to H1N1 vaccination clinics around our region.  Both York Region and the Simcoe Muskoka Health unit have received the unadjuvented vaccine for pregnant women.  For a complete list of clinics, visit our website at www.atv.ca and click on the links.

Barrie Business Owner Gives Back

It's been almost two years since Mary Pigeau lost her business in the 5 Points fire in downtown Barrie.  Today, Mary opened her new spa downtown and is giving back to the community.  Mary has launched a toy drive for the Salvation Army, and is looking for donations for teens 13 to 17 years old.  She said the Salvation Army helped her in her time of need and she is looking to give back.

Firefighting Challenge

Firefighting students from across Ontario took part in a combat challenge at Georgian College today.  Proceeds from today's event go to Camp Bucko, a camp for young burn victims.
