Summit Not Coming to Huntsville?

Preparations are well underway in Huntsville for the G-8 Summit next June -- but some say the town is too small to host the G-20 Summit. There are concerns about the extra security and accomodations that would be needed for the larger summitt meeting, and unconfirmed reports the G-20 may be moved to Toronto. The G-8 will go ahead as planned.

Flu Clinics Open to General Public

Several communities across our region are now offering H1N1 vaccines to everyone - not just high risk groups, and as of tomorrow, vaccines will be available to virtually everyone in Ontario who wants one.

Breast Cancer Clarification

How important are mammograms when it comes to detecting early breast cancer?  While there is new debate sparked by a government report in the US, Royal Victoria Hospital's chief oncologist tells /A\ News the best guidlines are; mammograms for women with high risk factors stating at age 40, and mammograms for all women starting at age 50.

Crash Test

Do you know how well your vehicle would do in a crash test?  The latest choices are out for the safest passenger vehicles, according to the US Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Volvo and Ford topped the list, while Japanese auto giant Toyota was shut out.
