Going Hands Free

After a three month grace period, drivers in Ontario will have to go hands free behind the wheel Monday or face some stiff penalties.  As of tomorrow, the fine for driving while on the phone will be $155.  The hands free law was actually introduced at the end of October, but police have been mainly using the time as an education period.

MNR Fishing Crackdown

Conservation officers with the Ministry of Natural Resources have been out all weekend making sure ice anglers are following the rules.  They were on Georgian Bay Sunday checking ice hut registrations and licenses.  They were also making sure people weren't over fishing.

Home Renovation Credit Wraps

Home owners looking to renovate have until midnight Sunday to take advantage of the home renovation tax credit.  Home improvement stores have been busy all weekend as people rush to get in their last minute purchases.
