Moving to Barrie was like coming home for Bridget. She is from St. Albert, Alberta which has all the benefits of both a big city and a small town, just like Barrie. She brings with her years of experience as an anchor, reporter, producer and assignment editor for stations like Canadian Learning Television, Citytv Winnipeg and CTV National. She also spent time working for the Red Cross. Bridget was part of a small group of Canadian disaster responders who traveled to the Gulf Coast of the U.S. after Hurricane Katrina. In her spare time, Bridget is a yoga enthusiast, and also runs long-distance races with her partner Michael.
Education:
Graduated from the Northern Alberta Institute for Technology in Radio and Television Arts.
What I Love About My Job:
"Shhhh, don't tell anyone... I get paid to do something that I would otherwise do for free: learn, talk and meet people. How many people can say that about their job?"
