Barrie where she has the best of both worlds hitting the streets and reporting the news as well as anchoring.
Julia has been part of our coverage of many important news stories including our Election shows, the Air France Crash, Frank Stronach's Rescue Mission for Hurricane Katrina Victims, the Live Eight Concert, the Blackout, and the search for Brandon Crisp.
Julia has been recognized nationally for her work. She is the recipient of an RTNDA Award for a series she reported on Canadian couples who travel to China to adopt babies.
What I Love About My Job:
"First of all... I've always been nosey and had a need to know. Reporting the news enables me to feed my curiosity. And then there's the people factor. Everyday my work takes me into the lives and even homes of people who share their stories with me...often compelling ones. Not every profession allows you this kind of access into other people's worlds. They share their views with me. I get to pass it on."
