Overview

We are proud of the support that we offer 'not for profit' groups in the communities in which we work and live.

Giving Strategy
We recognizes the tremendous need within our communities and wish the company could support all local initiatives. However, in clearly identifying our giving strategy to include the following four areas we ensure that we can have the greatest impact.

*Local groups will be considered a priority within the following categories:

  • Cultural Diversity
  • Health and Human Services
  • Education Initiatives
  • Arts and Culture

It is important to note that while we are specific in our commitment to the above areas of focus, we will periodically give consideration to those that do not fall into these four categories.

Cultural Diversity
We want to foster positive changes within our communities by actively contributing to the minority groups that work and live in our area. Advancing knowledge of their cultures, events, traditions and history allows viewers to recognize the importance of our multi cultural society and further understand how each group does contribute to our community.

Health and Human Services
We are committed to charitable and non profit organizations that focus their work on health or human services. We support programs that focus on healthy, active living as well as those that strive towards excellence in medical advances and technology.  We largely focus on groups that enhance the lives of persons with physical and psychological disabilities.

Education
We are interested in increasing the link between learning and the work environment and expressly support post secondary education in the areas of technology, communication and business. We also particularly support media literacy.

Arts and Culture
We are proud to support arts and cultural organizations that reach out into the community particularly through educational initiatives. We recognize that theatre, arts and music specifically play an important role within our community enhancing the overall lives of our viewers.

Sponsorship Opportunities

We offer the following sponsorship opportunities:      

  • In Touch- 30 sec segment airing 14 x over 28 days
  • /A\ Files - inclusion in on-air calendar & incl. info/link on web  
    (Airs up to 5 times for 1 week - 5 events in 30 sec spot, 2 events in 15 sec spot)
  • /A\ Files website - inclusion with link on website
  • MC
  • Promotional product donation (t-shirts, mugs etc)    

Criterion for Support

Financial support
We do not offer financial support as a result of solicited or unsolicited proposals.

Promotional items support
We are always willing to receive a promotional items request from organizations that meet our giving requirements (cultural diversity, education, health and human services, arts and culture) and other organizations.

On-air or website support
We are always willing to receive requests for on-air exposure from groups that meet our giving requirements (cultural diversity, education, health and human services, arts and culture) and may further determine support based on:

  • Our history of sponsorship for the requesting organization (first time events may take precedent)
  • Sustainability and ongoing development of organization
  • Availability of air time
  • Advance notice of event or occasion (8 weeks for In Touch, 4 weeks for /A\ Files on air, 2 weeks for /A\ Files on web)
