Cranberries contain powerful antioxidants and help prevent certain bacteria from sticking to the urinary tract.

The benefits began within two hours of drinking a glass of cranberry juice and can last up to 10 hours.

More than half of Canadian women have suffered from urinary tract infections.

The Kidney Foundation of Canada says they account for 500 thousand doctor visits per year.

Cranberries are also loaded with vitamin C.
