Many people who have trouble sleeping turn to over-the-counter and prescription aids.
However, there's one prescription pill that will put you to sleep, but could also keep you up.
Dr. Carlos Schenk of the Minnesota Regional Sleep Disorder Clinic says he has documented 32 cases of people with no previous history of sleepwalking who began to do so while under the influence of Ambien.
He says it does increase slow wave sleep and that is linked to sleepwalking.
The company that makes the drug says talk to your doctor if you find yourself sleepwalking after taking it.
