Post Partum Depression

Many women, and their families, struggle with the blues following the birth of a baby... and for some it goes much further than that to post partum depression.

M.C. , a London mother, suffered from it for almost a year after her daughter was born, and none of her health care givers diagnosed it.

It's a situation that plays itself out in many homes with new babies.

New moms and families need all the help they can get to deal with PPD, so the group Motherreach is setting up a new drop-in centre at the :" Babies in Arms Dula Centre " on Wellington Street in London. It will be open every Thursday afternoon beginning April 27th.

PPD sufferers can also get help at 1-519-672-4673 or at http://www.helpformom.ca/
