Laser Hair Removal
Women have long suffered ankle and knee nicks and cuts and most men are familiar with the styptic pencil to stop the bleeding after shaving.
Options for hair removal are getting better all the time, and today's motto seems to be 'take it all off'.

"It's like what they say about us bald guys,  we don't really lose it, it just all goes south.  Seriously though, it's a pain to have your wife always have to shave your back."
That's what brought Bob to Epiderma for laser hair removal.  The trend toward hair removal has evolved in the last few years, these days bald is beautiful.

People are very conscious of their skin, about their faces, so if they have unwanted hair on their face they're going to have the hair removed.  A lot of girls are having the Brazilian type of bikini area done.  Sometimes it's partial, sometimes it's the full bikini.
Luisa says it's really determined by the customer's modesty level.  The technicians have seen it all.  These days more men are having their hair removed.  Chest, back, legs and face too.  Some men have a lot of rashes the feliculitis where there's ingrown hairs and we see a lot of that so you can get the laser which helps to destroy the hair follicle and it all comes out so their skin is nice and smooth.  Even women's underarms.

The laser works by taking a beam of light and penetrating it into the hair follicle to destroy the hair permanently.  And how does it feel?
"It is different depending on you pain tolerance and what kind of area you're having done, though I find it more tolerable than waxing.  Just kind of like a spark, it wasn't very obtrusive at all I mean compared to waxing, waxing is extremely painful, this is like next to nothing."

Each person is different depending on skin and hair colour and type, but effective and permanent hair removal usually takes about six sessions.  Because we want to catch the hair in the active growing stage and we know that every six to eight weeks we're going to catch the hair in that stage.

The eye area is the only area which is a no-no with the laser.
An average underarm area is about 90 dollars a treatment.
Epiderma does take it's laser equipment to various out of town locations depending on demand.
