More Women Smoking
Women around the world continue to light up in greater numbers.

The World Health Organization says about 12 percent of women worldwide smoke.

About 20 percent are expected to do so within the next 20 years.

By contrast, about 48 percent of men worldwide smoke, although that number is declining as men get the message to quit.

Ads showing attractive modern women smoking are taking some of the blame for the increase.
