O.J. And Kidney Stones
An independent study has determined that orange juice works better than lemon juice and other citric fruit juices in keeping kidney stones at bay.

Experts have long known that potassium citrate, found in citrus fruits, can slow stone formation in people with a history of the condition.

The study found that other components also affect the ability of a citrus juice to prevent stones.

Orange Juice apparently increases the levels of potassium citrate in the urine as well as reduces the crystallization of uric acid and calcium oxalate, the most common component of kidney stones..

Lemonade reportedly doesn't increase potassium citrate levels.
