Superbug on the Doorstep?
A warning about a new so-called superbug that's poised to invade Canada.
It's an infection related to staphylococcus that causes lesions, pneumonia, and in rare cases, the flesh eating disease.
The Canadian Medical Association says outbreaks have occured in hospitals here in Ontario and western Canada.
The C-M-A adds there's been an epidemic of the superbug in the United States, and it's been heading north.
The bug is spread through a variety of means, including contact with open cuts.
