The gay pride issue is once again front and centre in the City of London.
The Canadian flag flapping in front of the building will be joined by the rainbow flag, a symbol of gay and lesbian pride.
Council has voted to display the flag between the 19th and 29th of this month, during London's Pride Festival.
In 1995, then-Mayor Dianne Haskett refused to issue a proclamation recognizing Pride, a decision later found to be discriminatory by the Ontario Human Rights Commission.
All but five members of council voted in favour of flying the flag.
