Cliff Nordal is the highest paid public servant in Ontario, and when he leaves his post as the head of London's hospitals he will be replaced by two people.
The board at St. Joseph's wants its own Chief exectutive to reflect its Catholic identity.
The problem is, it could cost a lot more money just as hospitals are being warned by the province that their budgets will be tight. The extra expense represents money that critics say could be put to better use.
