Volunteer Firefighter Died During Training

More than 1,000 people from across Ontario and the U. S. turned out in Point Edward this morning to say goodbye to a fallen firefighter who died during training.

Fellow firefighters from across Ontario and Michigan formed the guard of honour for Gary Kendall. The 51-year old volunteer firefighter died last weekend during a water training exercise.

The funeral ceremony was held in a packed hotel ballroom, filled with family, friends and colleagues.
