Although born in Gainsville, Florida John has spent most of his years in Southwestern Ontario. John’s career in front of the camera began as a child when he appeared on CFPL television singing for a Christmas Special and he went on to perform on stage in musicals at the Huron Country Playhouse in Grand Bend. At 18 John worked at CHUM-owned CKWW in Windsor where he was a program operator/producer. After studying broadcasting at Fanshawe College and Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in Detroit, MI, John joined Cogeco in Windsor covering everything from municipal elections to hockey games. His first big break was early in 1998 at an ABC affiliate in Florida. John moved back to Windsor later that year and since then he has worked at CBC Windsor, hosted a sports program on the CHUM network in southwestern Ontario, and reported for an Emmy award winning program called "Details Detroit" which aired on Detroit's UPN affiliate. John plays the piano, accordian, and sings, and spends most of his spare time writing his own music. There isn't a sport that John doesn't enjoy playing, especially hockey and tennis.
