Originally from St.Catharines, Tara Overholt graduated from a joint York University/Seneca College program with a bachelor's degree in Communications and Sociology, and a diploma in Radio- television journalism. Tara worked in Radio in Owen Sound for a year and volunteered for Rogers cable before joining The New NX as a summer videographer. She joined the station full-time in fall, 2002 working as a sports reporter/anchor. After successfully filling in as a news anchor and morning show co-host, Tara was named weekend news anchor in December, 2006. At the beginning of 2009 Tara took the postion of 11pm anchor.
