So who made the most at city hall last year? The answer may surprise you.
Today the City of Ottawa released the salaries of those employees who made over $100,000 dollars in 2005.
In total 317 people made the list this year. Of those 191 work directly for the City of Ottawa, 121 work with our city’s police service and 5 are with the Ottawa Public Library.
Mayor Bob Chiarelli doesn’t make the top 5. He comes in at $138,465.27.
The figures include not only base salaries, but other forms of compensation as well, such as retro-activity payments, vacation cash-outs, and banked overtime.
Here is a look at who did make the most:
- City Manager – Kent Kirkpatrick: $242,881.00
- DCM, Community & Protective Services – Steve Kanellakos: $227,036.00
- DCM, Planning & Growth Management – George Lathrop: $201,403.55
- Chief Corporate Service Officer – Greg Geddes: $186,172.38
- Chief of Police – Vince Bevan: $183,578.33
