During World War 2, 3 brothers from Lachine, Quebec joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. They were inspired by their father who was a pilot in both World Wars.
John, Gerald and Randy Symons beat the odds and lived through the war and they are marking this Remembrance Day by taking part in ceremonies in Ottawa.
The brothers, all in their 80’s have never celebrated a Remembrance Day together, and this will be their first visit to the National War Memorial.
Gerald has just published his autobiography “The Boys of Spring”, which details his experiences as a Fighter Pilot during the war.
They will be attending the ceremonies with their families by their sides.
