Hopeful Hearts is hoping Ottawa residents will come forward to help a dog in need.

A local volunteer group is hoping for some help to take an eight-month-old dog from a five-legged animal to three legs.
The boxer mix was born with five legs. Two are basically in one casement, with two sets of arteries. The pup, called Logan, has been using his three good legs to get around. Hopeful Hearts is hoping to raise money for surgery to remove the two useless legs so Logan has an easier time getting around.
The group was formed in 2007, and focuses on senior and special needs dogs that are often euthanized in shelters because they were the last to be adopted, if they were adopted at all.
