Downtown Crash
Several people are recovering after an OC Transpo bus and a five-ton truck collided downtown Monday afternoon.

Police say the accident happened just after one o'clock, at the intersection of Kent and Albert Streets. The bus driver, a 56-year-old man, was pinned in his seat and crews had to use the Jaws of Life to release him. He was taken to hospital with a serious leg fracture.

Several people aboard the bus were also treated for minor neck, back and hip injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured, but the passenger, a 51-year-old man, was treated for a minor shoulder injury.

Police are investigating, but have not figured out a cause of the crash.

Stay tuned for the latest.
