Dash Read

Sports Anchor/Reporter
Dash was born in Ottawa into a television family - with his mother (Merilyn Read - a Gemini Award winning producer and former reporter for Macleans and the CBC) - being actively involved in broadcasting.  Dash played competitive baseball for many years – however, after 4 elbow operations, Dash followed his roots and went on to study film and television at Algonquin College, Ryerson University and Sheridan College.  Dash has worked behind-the-scenes for a number of years, serving as a production assistant, producer and director, before landing in front of the camera hosting the Jays post game show for Rogers Television.  Dash also served as the breaking news helicopter reporter for Global Television before returning to his Ottawa roots in the Spring of 2007 as a sports reporter/anchor for 'A' News.
