Sports Anchor/ Reporter
Born and raised in Ottawa, sports has always been Lianne's main passion. A provincial champion by age 9, Lianne left the nation's capital in the early 1990s to attend the University of Massachusetts on a full NCAA gymnastics scholarship. Having grown up as an elite gymnast in Canada, Lianne knows and understands the commitment and sacrifice an athlete has to their sport. When she joined the 'A' News Team in 1998, it was an opportunity for her to share the stories and experiences of other amateur athletes as well as bring a new outlook to the world of professional sports.

Extracurricular:
Lianne is involved with a variety of local charities. She sits on the board of the Snow Suit Fund of Ottawa, gives motivational speeches at high schools and sports forums, as well as emcees and participates in fundraising and community events. Lianne still maintains a daily active lifestyle whether it be running, weight training, pilates, playing golf, tennis or skiing. She has recently added motherhood to her list of achievements with the birth of her daughter Andie in Feb of 2005.
What I Love About My Job:
"I enjoy the feedback I get from sports organizations, athletes and coaches. I'm encouraged when an athlete knows their hard work is paying off. I love being where the action is, whether it's on the sidelines of a Renegades game or from the press box at a Senator's game. In addition to my sports coverage I have worked on other segments such as "Oh Baby". In sharing my pregnancy with the viewers I learned that we do have an impact on the community, making the job that much more rewarding."
