VICTORIA - The criminal case against a Saanich landlord who is the subject of an /A\ News investigation got a lot bigger today.

Just as a judge was about to sentence Charmaine Roy on ten counts of fraud, crown lawyers filed 19 more charges.

We first told you about Charmaine Roy last December. 

A number of people complained to /A\ News that Roy rented a suite in her home to more than one tenant.  The people complained that Roy did not let them move in and kept their money.

Roy was arrested in court on January 21 st on allegation she violated the conditions of her release on 10 fraud charges.

She has remained in jail ever since.

Last month Roy plead guilty to fraud charges.

Charmaine Roy’s sentencing is now scheduled for Friday afternoon.
