HELP US HELP THE KIDS
In 2009, your generous donations helped /A\ News Senior Anchor & News Director, Hudson Mack, raise over $120,000 for the Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock benefitting the Canadian Cancer Society.
This year, /A\ News Sports Anchor, Mira Laurence, will be riding for the kids alongside friend and 107.3 KOOL FM Morning Co-host, Robin Farrell. They will be joining a select team of riders from the RCMP, Saanich, Victoria and Oak Bay Police, CFB Esquimalt and 19 Wing Comox who are volunteering their time to help raise awareness of and fundraise for pediatric cancer reserach and programs for children with a history of cancer.
From September 18 to October 1, the team will cycle from one end of Vancouver Island to the other with stops in just about every community to raise money for childhood cancers. Last year, the tour collected $1.8 million, making it a record year for the Island as well as the second largest fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. This year, the team has committed to beating this amount.

Monday September 13 at Pacific Institute for Sports Excellence
Join this unique Tour de Rock fundriaser for everyone! We had a great time last year. Together, we will complete 3 hours of bootcamp with four different workouts and instructors. The goal is to raise at least $4,000. The fee is $50, payable through donation of fundraising. Participants are encouraged to fundraise so we can maximize how much money we raise. There will be prizes for the top fundraisers.
