VICTORIA - A University of Victoria student and part-time waiter wants you to give a dollar to help him build a preschool. Dane Low is collecting donations for “Room to Read” through the popular social networking site

So far, Low has raised $3600. His goal is $17,000 – the price “Room to Read” says it costs to build a preschool in Vietnam. Low believes many Canadians take education for granted and feels people in developing countries must have access to education to improve their lives.
Low talks to customers at Victoria's Cactus Club while waiting tables. For every $100 that's donated, he contributes a dollar of his own money. He says his generosity is fuel by the generosity of others.
