Victoria Shipyards Looking to Hire Skilled Workers
ESQUIMALT - The shipbuilding industry on Vancouver Island has come back in a big way.  The work comes in cycles, but with regular naval maintenance, cruise ships and a share of federal contracts, the future is looking bright.  Victoria Shipyards is looking at potentially doubling its present workforce, if it can find the workers.  Today, it joined Canadian Forces to host a job fair at the Naden Dockyard, inviting hundreds of high school students to learn more about the marine trades.
