RCMP Release "Person of Interest" (VIDEO)

COURTENAY - Comox Valley RCMP today released a man they had taken into custody following the discovery of the body of a 25 year old Hornby Island woman yesterday morning.

Tempest Grace Gale was living in the Ford's Cove Marina on Hornby Island and had been reported missing at 7:00am Wednesday.  Half an hour later her body was discovered floating in the water in a corner of the marina by her father and boyfriend.

Friends of Gale's say the woman spent years living at the marina and have doubts her death was an accident.   Shortly after the discovery of her body, RCMP were notified that a person who may be connected with the death was leaving Hornby, heading for Vancouver Island.  The man was arrested while departing the ferry at Buckley Bay.

Police say Gale and the man who was released this morning knew each other but could not comment further on their dealings with each other or on the case until after an autopsy is performed tomorrow.
