ESQUIMALT - HMCS Calgary is back home in Esquimalt after a three month deployment.
The ship's crew was on a mission to South America working with navies of Latin America.
Calgary also visited ports throughout Chile and conducted counter-drug operations.
The commander of Maritime Forces Pacific says it is important for Calgary's crew to take part in training at sea but also to conduct operations that are important to Canada.
Friday morning Calgary returned to CFB Esquimalt where family and friends gathered to welcome the crew home.
