Beacon Hill "kids" need a new home (VIDEO)
VICTORIA - The owners of the Beacon Hill Children's Farm are looking for money or skilled labour. They need to build a new larger and fully accessible barn for their goats. The old barn is 26 years old. It houses pregnant goat when they deliver and for the first few days of the newborn goats lives.
The new barn would see the double the birthing stalls, from the current three to six. And there will be sections of the barn with heated flooring for the baby "kids."
The cost of the new barn is $45,000. So far, $13,000 has been raised. Donations are welcome to the "Petting Barn Fund' at any Coast Capital Savings and skilled labourers are asked to call 250-381-2532.
