Death of a Hornby Woman a Homicide (VIDEO)

HORNBY ISLAND -  The results of an autopsy released today are now leading Comox Valley RCMP to change their investigation of the death of a 25 year old Hornby Island woman into that of a homicide.

Tempest Grace Gale was found floating in the waters of Ford's Cove Marina on Wednesday morning by her father and boyfriend.  She had been reported missing just 30 minutes earlier.   Police were informed that a person of interest in her death was leaving Hornby headed for Vancouver Island, police then arrested a man as he left the ferry at Buckley Bay a short time later.

The life of the popular musician and poet is continuing to be remembered in memorials at the island's community hall where she had performed many times.  A benefit concert is being planned for her parents on December 4th.   Contributions to her family can also be made through the Union Bay Credit Union.
