South Island Videographer / Weekend Anchor
Andrew grew up in the Kootenays, and upon finishing high school, enrolled at UVic where he completed a degree in Sociology. From there, he decided to act on his broadcasting aspirations, and headed east - to Calgary's Mount Royal College for a Broadcasting diploma.
Andrew's career began in news, reporting and anchoring for CTV in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He quickly moved onto the sports desk in Saskatoon, and after a couple of years trying to suppress the BC-itch, returned to Vancouver Island.
As a Videographer, Andrew enjoys the writing and storytelling aspect of his job, as well as meeting new people every day. He's active in community events and proud to represent /A\ News.
EXTRACURRICULAR:
In his spare time, Andrew enjoys attempting to golf, playing and watching hockey, and isn't afraid to admit he's a Bruce Springsteen fanatic.
