Reporter / Anchor
Erick began his media career as a film extra, photographer and camera operator while attending high school in Calgary.
After graduating from Calgary's Bowness High School with honours in physical education and psychology, Erick began working as an announcer at a newly launched 50,000 watt rock radio station in New Brunswick. He then returned to Calgary to work with ABC-TV as an assistant to talent and crew during the 1988 Olympic Winter Games.
After spending time traveling across Canada and the U.S., he returned to Nanaimo where he became a locally-known radio, newspaper and TV personality. In 2000, Erick relocated to Richmond Hill to work with Shaw Television as a producer, videographer and host. In addition to working on a daily news program, he produced and hosted 'Future Zone,' a technology feature which aired on cable stations across Canada. In 2001, Erick returned to Vancouver Island to work with CHUM/CTVglobemedia as an Anchor and Reporter. He also fills in as a talk-radio host and producer on CFAX
EXTRACURRICULAR:
Erick has worked as an extra in film and television. He has been an honorary member of the Sport for Kids Foundation, a national organization raising funds for youth in organized sports. He is also a leadership presenter with the United Way of Greater Victoria and volunteers his time with other community organizations including the SPCA and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Erick was nominated for a Jack Webster Award and also won a provincial and national RTNDA award.
