Lead in Neighbourhood Water (SEE VIDEO)
People Living Next Door to Tested Houses Weren't Told

- - - STORY CONTINUES BELOW IMAGE - - -
Saying they didn't want to create a panic, the Windsor Utility Commission deliberately chose not to tell some Windsor homeowners that the houses around them had tested positive for lead in the drinking water.

But residents say the utility should have notified them out of an abundance of caution.

The Commission will spend $10,000,000 to replace the sections of lead piping on its own property.

The homes affected were built before 1949, when lead stopped being used in water pipes.
