For cancer patients who may be left not knowing what to do following recent news accounts concerning a local surgeon, the Erie St. Clair cancer program went public to offer some advice today.
As we reported last night, Hotel-Dieu Grace announced that Dr. Barbara Heartwell, a surgeon currently under investigation by the province, the College of Physicians and Surgeons and the hospital itself has had her surgical privileges restored.
Today, the regional cancer program was quick to inform the public on patient rights, particularly when being treated for cancer.
