'A' News at 6 & 11 - Anchor - Windsor
Jim Crichton has been with Windsor as the anchor of News at 6pm and 11pm since May 2000. During the past three years, Jim has anchored Windsor's election coverage and has interviewed many news-makers in the Windsor area. Jim Crichton has been the Windsor anchor since May 2000. Jim has a more than 30 year career in the news business that started with radio in Welland. He has worked in Ontario and the Maritimes. While in Halifax, Jim was a member of the Broadcast News team that received the prestigious national RTNDA award and Atlantic Journalism Award for coverage of the crash of Swissair Flight 1-11. He has been an instructor at the University of King’s College, Halifax. He has met and interviewed newsmakers and celebrities including William Shatner, k.d. lang and Herb Gray.
He says of Canada's motor city:

Extracurricular:
Jim is on the Windsor Advisory Board of the Salvation Army. He is active in the community and is often called upon as master of ceremonies. Jim has a daughter named Beth, who is in university.
