"The Beautiful Lie" - Sonja (Mischa Barton) is being hounded by the press about a risqué photo which forces her to consider quitting the modeling business. Aware of the chemistry between Raina (Sara Paxton) and Cole (Nico Tortorella), Claudia (Ell Macpherson) secures a campaign for a major clothing line for the two. Raina struggles with the public image she must maintain with Cole, while her true feelings are for Chris (Ben Hollingsworth). Raina's family drama finds its way back into her life and she finally faces her father (guest star Sebastian Roche, GENERAL HOSPITAL). Isaac's (Corbin Bleu) relationship with Vivienne (guest star Jamie Murray, DEXTER) is strained when he is surprisingly replaced, by Chris during a photo shoot. Raina's brother, Alex (guest star Billy Magnussen, AS THE WORLD TURNS), lands himself in a bit of trouble with the Russian mob, but Marissa (Ashley Madekwe) comes to his rescue.

Two teenaged models are about to discover the cut-throat world of high fashion for themselves - Raina Collins (Sara Paxton, SUMMERLAND), a stunning beauty with a secret past, and Chris Andrews (Ben Hollingsworth), a strikingly handsome Iowa farm boy. When Raina makes an unforgettable impression at a show introducing the new line from designer Zac Posen, she steals the spotlight from her friend Sonja (Mischa Barton, THE O.C.) who is desperate to reclaim her standing as the reigning supermodel after being out of the country for mysterious reasons. Sonja keeps the reasons for her disappearance from the other models and agent Claudia (Elle Macpherson, FRIENDS), who was left to cover for her while she was away. While Raina and Sonja live at the top of the fashion food chain, Chris is starting at the bottom. Raina brings Chris to the "models' residence" where she lives along with other young hopefuls, including Marissa Delfina (Ashley Madekwe), Issac (Corbin Bleu, High School Musical) and the current alpha-male-model known as Kai (Nico Tortorella). With all the drama that comes with the industry, Chris is left to question whether he can survive in this world of dangerous excess and fleeting fame.
